Mountain Spirits

Escape to the mountain where time stands still,

And your mind drifts away with the clouds, such a thrill!

All worries and cares go fading hence,

Your soul is alive with a strengthened sense.

Oh a great still peace lives eternally here,

Ancient souls sing their wisdom to those that would hear

Reaching for connections to other human hearts

Different generation’s inspirations find their mark

Constant watchful learning seems important after all

No small disappointments ~ No more major falls

Excepting all the sorrow as well as all the joy

Tears and laughter all the same

Move on now to tomorrow

Letting down all our defenses

Casting our fates to the wind

Hearing music made sweeter

By virtue of loving all things

And friendships in time they may wither

As leaves fall before winter’s snow

But memories live on and will linger 

Warm comfort to us when we’re cold

Eyes to Eyes with two together

There is bound to be heart-searching in the play of eyes,

Mirrors to mirrors and reflection reflected

Into infinity ~ as unto the skis

Wordless, the thought evolves and passes

The no-man's-land between the eyes;

Thought in reflection assumes inversion 

 Love pours from one soul to the other and cries
